Alison & Chad ~ Wedding
October 10, 2009Alison & Chad’s wedding was planned as a lakefront ceremony at her Grandparent’s lakehouse. The site was gorgeous, but unfortunately mother nature had other plans. Even with the rain, they still had a gorgeous candlelit ceremony indoors in front of a beautiful fireplace. They were surrounded by their closest family and friends, and who can ask for more than that?
monyeen: love the candelit images. so stunning.
aunt sandy & uncle bobby: truly a wonderful wedding and reception from beginning to end ... handsome groom with his beautiful bride amongst family & friends ... these great photos document 9-26-2009 very well!
Abbie & Tim
September 30, 2009Better late than never, right? With all the computer issues in the last 2 weeks I’m just now proofing Abbie & Tim’s fabulous wedding! It was such a wonderful time and we laughed through much of it (even the ceremony – the officiant started the service with “Mawidge…mawidge is what bwings us togewer today…”, which, if you’re a fan of the Princess Bride like I am, you’ll recognize immediately). The entire day was filled with laughter, love and lots of laid back fun!
So without further ado (since Abbie & Tim have been so patient waiting for these) may I present a sneak peek of Abbie & Tim’s wedding…
And I’ll end with a quote from The Princess Bride
Westley: Hear this now: I will always come for you.
Buttercup: But how can you be sure?
Westley: This is true love – you think this happens every day?
monyeen: that swing image........ BIG canvas should be ordered. Love it. So many beautiful shots, Kim.
A quick post from last night’s wedding…
September 13, 2009I just started downloading the images from last night’s wedding and I came across these 3 that I wanted to share. The first 2 are of Abbie , who was an absolutely GORGEOUS bride! But more than that, she and her new husband Tim were so much fun to work with! They had a beautiful outside ceremony yesterday (it started drizzling, but thankfully never got worse than that) and my assistant Michele and I had a wonderful time! You may remember Abbie & Tim’s e-session (if you haven’t seen it yet, you can visit it here: http://www.prochazkaphotography.com/blog/2008/10/abbie-tim/ )
And now for the pictures I wanted to share…

I love this one in both b/w and color, but there’s something so gorgeous and sultry about the b/w

The minute I saw the old time carnival signs I knew I wanted to shoot with them. I love this one because it feels like it’s straight out of another generation
I’ll be back in a couple of days with a slideshow sneek peak.
Megan & Mike
August 21, 2009The first thing out of my sister/assistant Kellie’s mouth when we met Megan’s family was “How do you get so lucky to have such fabulous clients”. Yeah, I’m pretty darn lucky. Megan was possibly the calmest bride I have ever seen (and that’s saying a lot since most of my clients are pretty down to earth) and Mike is so sweet and so in love with Megan! Not to mention both their families are wonderful and so obviously happy for the couple!
I had a very hard time picking favorites for the slideshow and I know there’s a lot I had to leave out, plus all the pictures that my second shooter took that she’s still editing. But I think this tells the story of the day pretty well. Enjoy!
May you have many, many wonderful years together Megan & Mike!
Oh – and you may be wondering why the bridesmaids are brushing their teeth in one of the images. That’s for a contest that a local dentist was holding – send him a picture of you brushing your teeth in an unusual situation. I hope they win!
Andree: That was BEAUTIFUL Kim! I loved all the emotions on everyone's faces! Perfect!
Kate & Viren’s Wedding
May 12, 2009This was such a fun wedding to shoot! Kate & Viren were great to work with too, and the setting was definitely different from most that I’ve covered in the past! The one thing that really struck me about this wedding was how much everyone really seemed to enjoy being together. Their guests really had a wonderful time and spent almost all the reception dancing and having fun! Michele (who came down from Albany to help me cover the wedding) and I even got to try some new techniques, which is always interesting! Enjoy your sneak peek!
Congratulations Kate & Viren! It’s been wonderful working with you! You are a beautiful couple and will be very happy together!
Emily Korff: Love that last image of the happy couple :)
Favorites of 2008 – Kim Prochazka Photography
January 25, 2009It certainly has been a whirlwind year! I’ve been so blessed to have so many absolutely amazing clients, brides and grooms that shared their wedding day with me, families that wanted to capture a special moment and lots of beautiful children that made me laugh! I put together a little slideshow of some of my favorites from 2008 – I hope you enjoy it!
Jana Kunz: They are all so beautiful!
Carley Mac: oooh this is neat :) gorgeous work
Kimmi: Gorgeous work... looks like you had a wonderful 2008.... here's to an even better 2009. :)
Karen: Kin - You put so much of yourself into your work - and these pictures show just how much you LOVE it! They're more than amazing - can't wait to see what 2009 has in store!
Sarah & Greg
November 2, 2008Halloween night… Could you think of a date that would be more fun for a wedding? I don’t think so! This wedding was an absolute blast! Patti (Sarah’s mom) contacted me a few months back and asked if I’d be interested in covering the wedding and of course I said YES!! She told me the reception was costumed, so I couldn’t wait to see what everyone came up with. I love Halloween and the idea of a Halloween wedding sounded like a great time!
And I was right! All the ghosts, goblins and witches came out for the event (heck, even that creepy Burger King dude made an appearance!) Everyone was in character (as you can see from the pictures!) In the wedding party alone there was a devil, Jack the Ripper, Jose Cuervo, a couple of winged creatures, a mobster, a sportsfan and a witch! I got a real good laugh out of watching the Ninjas serve coffee! That’s something you don’t see every day!
Thanks for letting me be a part of your day, Sarah & Greg! You were made for each other and I have no doubt that you will be together for a very, very long time!
Jon Bim: Thanks! Nice post.
Congratulations Jessica & Joe!
October 27, 2008What a fun wedding this was! The ceremony was beautiful, the bride radiant and they were surrounded by all of their friends and family. I can honestly say I have never, ever seen such a long conga line! I really believe all 200+ guests joined in with it. It rained (and “rained” might be putting it lightly – it poured and that combined with the wind made for some nasty weather), but that was ok too because it became part of the day. The umbrellas became props and the rain soaked windows added atmosphere. Jessica & Joe had a beautiful day despite the weather – they made it beautiful with their smiles and laughter.
One really special touch was the fact that Adrienne, Jessica’s sister, hired out the Roberson Mansion for pictures after the ceremony. We had a ball going from room to room and picking out different scenes to play. It was a perfect indoor place to shoot!
Here’s a few of my favorites from the day. Enjoy!
Kellie: Kim - These pictures are AMAZING - absolutely breathtaking - they could easily be in a bridal magazine! Our very best to Jessica and Joe!!
Anonymous: Congratulations to Jessica and Joe! You look gorgeous and so happy! Every detail was picture perfect! I hope you had the time of your lives! Xx, Jen and Joe DeMarco
Jessica: Kim- Thank you so much for these amazing pictures, more beautiful than we could have ever imagined! We can't wait to see the rest!!! :) -Jessica and Joe
Theresa & Eric
September 8, 2008A couple of weeks ago I was called by a friend of mine (who is also a photographer) who told me she was having extreme back pain and ruptured disks. Ouch! She had a wedding booked in September and asked if I would step in and shoot it. I had the day open, so I agreed and I’m so glad I did!
It’s really rare to see the kind of love that Theresa and Eric show to each other. Most of the time I rarely hear much about love during the day (as strange as that sounds). The brides and grooms are usually so busy getting ready and caught up in the day that they don’t usually talk much about it. But not Theresa and Eric. A few minutes after I got there it was obvious that they were destined for each other. They are so in love! And best of all, their children all got along beautifully. It was such a pleasure working with them!
So here’s a few of my favorites from the day! I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed shooting them! They got married at the Desmond Hotel in Albany, a gorgeous hotel that was really unique!
Here’s one that I just loved, but for the rest you’ll have to watch the slideshow!

Karen: Oh I love these beautiful wedding pictures of Dana and Mark - congratulations!!!!
Rochelle Travis: FINALLY!!! Congratulations to them both I love them both so much! the pictures came out great from all I have seen so far Kim THANKS!
